Friday night was Sienna's Holiday Program at school. Her class had been practicing their two songs for weeks. Adam and I were so excited as we tried to jockey for position among the couple hundred parents who filled the room. They started onto stage with bells in hand for their opening song of Jingle Bells. The second song, "I'm a Little Snowman" was by far my favorite. Sienna's hat didn't quite fit and kept slipping over her eyes. But our little performer carried on, singing the words and doing the moves without being able to see a thing : )
I found myself mouthing the words (which I had memorized too after all those weeks of hearing her recite them around the house) like one of those 'stage moms' you see on tv.
"I'm a little snowman, short and fat
Here are my buttons, here is my hat.
When the sun comes up, I run a-way,
before I slow-ly melt a-waaaaaay...."
