trust...
a word that conveys at once seeming paradoxical feelings of vulnerability and liberation. Could it be possible that a greater sense of freedom can only be experienced in a willingness to be naked and exposed; unguarded and accepting? Trust is the staying staff that steadies my steps as I journey into my "greater yet to be", as well as being the solitary friend that whispers consolingly in my ear as I navigate through the world of parenthood. Giving myself over to a certain unspoken knowing of a Divine orchestration, allows me to savor the symphonic sounds of those life "notes" creating the music of Niara's growth and development. In a world in flux, wrought with many changes, sometimes the greatest skill that one could possess and develop is that of simply...trusting.

as usual, you are able to relate to and articulate perfectly the sentiment of what i'm talking about. (this is why apples to apples *is* a really great game : ). yes, yes, and yes, trust encompasses so many things for me, and the paradox you speak of is *exactly* why i chose it. those two precise words: vulnerability and liberation. giving myself permission to experience both fully, without reservation or fear of judgement from myself or others. that's it.
